Japan's Chor-Farmer to perform in Featherston
The Japanese group Chor-Farmer will be on its 17th trip to New Zealand and will perform alongside Miss Masako Yuyama on piano, also with the Featherston Gentlemen Singers at the ANZAC Hall in Featherston at 7pm.

Trust House/Racetech - Rally Wairarapa 2010
The 2010 version of the Trusthouse Racetech Rally Wairarapa is ready to rock the rural roads of the region. Using the same roads as previous years, with only a couple of minor changes, the event will take in 250km of competitive stages taking place over 10th - 12th September.

Carlo Curley - Organ Extravaganza
One of the world's finest organists, Carlo Curley has made it his mission to make organ music appealing and fun for a wide audience.
He combines some of the finest organ playing in the world with a commitment to making his concerts great fun for the audience as well, and is a fine and very funny raconteur.
We expect Carlo to use the extraordinary possibilities of the Rodgers Trillium organ in St Matthew's to full advantage.

Wairarapa Spring Festival - The Daffodil Express
Celebrate spring and travel with Steam Incorporated Paekakariki to Carterton by heritage excursion train to attend the annual Daffodil Carnival. Adult return fare $70, Child $40. Wairarapa Spring Festival - Carterton Daffodil Carnival
This event is steeped in tradition. Boasting dozens of stalls featuring local crafts, art and children’s entertainment, the Carnival also features the time honoured tradition of picking daffodils at Middle Run, a historic property at Gladstone. The day begins at 9am. Take a shuttle bus to Middlerun to pick your daffodils for a small fee. Shuttle bus leaves from Nelson Crescent Carpark on the half hour from 10.30am, $5 adult, $2 child.
Martinborough Country Market
The Martinborough Country Market is held every Sunday at Jaq's Bar, New York Street from 10am until 2pm. There is a mix of fresh produce, local olive oil, pickles, jams and chutneys, local crafts, wooden toys etc. There is a cafe and bar attached where people can get coffee and snacks. In Summer you can sit outside looking over the vines and in Winter, you can be cosy inside by the fire. Wairarapa Spring Festival - Daffodil Day: Steam Train Carterton-Masterton & Return
As well as visiting the historic Daffodil Day event, enjoy a short ride on the historic steam train between Carterton and Masterton.
This train will depart Carterton at 10.55am and return by approximately 1pm and includes a 20 minute turnaround in Masterton. There is a buffet car on the train.

COOL (Collect our own litter) is back!
COOL is run in conjunction with 'Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week' which is held from September 17th - 24th. South Wairarapa eco-cyclists, Felicity Warren and Philippa Arapoff are bringing back their successful initiative to clean up the roads of Wairarapa.
They will also visit approximately 15 schools in the area to impress upon the importance of taking responsibility for their environment and not to throw rubbish out of cars etc. They use a lively song and skit routine to get their meaning across.
Keep New Zealand Beautiful provides 5000 litter packs for COOL.

2010 Wairarapa Spring Festival - Tinui Artists in Action
Watch artists create their original work in the gardens of Willowbank Studio, the home of Barry Sears Glass, 3284 Castlepoint Road, RD 9, just before Tinui. Marquees and gazebos will be nestled amongst the rural studio environment with artists creating their original work whilst a local singer performs, food will be available to buy, there will also be a kids' painting area and other stalls from members of the Tinui Community.

Gran Fondo 2010 - Wairarapa
A challenging cyclo-sportive bike event providing cyclists of all ability levels an opportunity to participate in New Zealand's inaugural Gran Fondo. This unique event is based on the extremely popular European model. The event consists of three routes of varying terrain from undulating to hilly. As part of the programme, the organisers will be running a Gran Fondo Training Weekend earlier in the year to help people prepare for the big event. Date to be decided once venue is decided.
