Trelan farmlet is in the wonderful Wairarapa,15 mins from Martinborough,20 mins from Carterton,25 mins from Masterton and Greytown and 1.5 hours from Wellington. This is a great spot from which to enjoy the varied attractions both urban and rural of the Wairarapa, Wellington and Tararua regions.

Our guests are provided with a warm welcome, a peaceful nights rest, private bathroom and seperate toilet, and light breakfast. All linen is supplied, as is internet.

We offer our home and beautiful surroundings for others to enjoy a relaxed stay, with a take-us-as-you-find-us approach. Guests are welcome to meet our livestock and poultry, explore our 10 hectares of paddocks, native bush and stream; and will be welcomed by Waggs our Labrador. You are welcome to sit on the verandah and soak up the atmosphere, stay in your room and do your own thing, chat with us, sit by the fire, or enjoy the outdoors.

Guests at Trelan have one end of the house to themselves with bedrooms, bathroom and seperate toilet. We have an open-plan living room/kitchen/dining area where guests can socialise with us if they wish.
Tea/coffee/milo/cold drinks and snacks are always available on request.

The house is well off the road so traffic noise is minimal, we do however a friendly rooster (some distance from the house!)

We are happy to provide information on local sites and activities, and have advertising pamphlets available.

There are many cafes, shops, museums, parks, cinemas, restaurants, and such urban attractions within easy reach. If the cafe scene is not your thing, there are kilometres of walking and cycling tracks also within easy reach including the Tararua Ranges, Cape Palliser, Castlepoint, Pukaha Mount Bruce and many reserves and rivers.

Trelan is a great spot for cyclists to overnight when doing a round trip from Wellington. The Rimutaka Rail Trail and new cycle track at Mt Holdsworth are popular with cyclists and easily accessible from here. At least that is what we are told, not being cyclists ourselves!

Obviously being a rural location guests need their own transport to stay with us.

Please note there is no cell phone coverage in our valley. Cell phone coverage is intermittent in the local area. We have a landline if needed.
