Flight in the Wairarapa is a big deal. Wings Over Wairarapa just on its own is enough to send a flying buff's head into a spin!

The Vintage Aviator is the world's largest collection of flying WW1 aircraft and is a must do if you're even remotely close to the Wairarapa.

Wings Over Wairarapa is a biennial event held in conjunction with Wings Over Wanaka, even if you're not into aircraft so much it's still well worth heading along. This is the only place in the world where you can see some of these authentic WW1 aircraft in the air!
