Lansdowne Recreational Trail

The Landsdowne Trail is 5.1km in length and part of approx. 15km of interconnected Recreational Trails throughout urban Masterton, popular with walkers, cyclists, and runners.

The track has great views of Masterton, the Tararua Ranges and a hidden lake which looks spectacular in autumn and a great place to have a picnic with the kids.

Enter the Landsdowne Trail at Fourth Street, off State Highway 2 on the north side of Masterton, at the Manuka Reserve, or at Milford Downs

Download a map of the Recreational Trails here or check out other interconnected Recreational Trails around Masterton:

  • Waipoua River Trail (2.5km) - Enter from Colombo Road car park, or commence at the start on Akura Road, near the railway station.
