Tiwaiwaka Wines

A delicious platter at Tiwaiwaka Wines

Tiwaiwaka Wines is a partnership between Morton and Elise Anderson, who have been making award-winning wines in Martinborough for more than 15 years.

The family enjoy welcoming visitors to their cellar door at Tiwaiwaka, where guests can sample a premium range that includes rose, chardonnay, and a selection of reds.

With its friendly atmosphere, Tiwaiwaka is the ideal spot to unwind. Relax under the walnut trees in the courtyard adjacent to the cellar door, where Elise serves lovingly-crafted platters filled with quality locally-sourced favourites, such as artisan cheese from Kingsmeade in Masterton, olive oil from Olivo in Martinborough, and homemade lavosh crackers whipped up in the family kitchen.

Tiwaiwaka is one of the many Maori words for fantail, and the iconic New Zealand bird also appears on the label of each bottle. The cellar door is conveniently located on the main road into town making it easy to call in on your next wine tasting journey around Martinborough village.

Opening hours vary so please check our up to date list here.
