This is one of the most popular catered walks in the Wairarapa. Tora Coastal Walk is a three day, three night adventure.
This walk takes you through private hill-country farms, river valleys, native bush, hilltop ridges and the magnificent Tora coastline. There’s plenty of challenge too, with the highest point at 355 metres and lots of ups and downs along the way.
Tora also offers a welcoming food and accommodation experience. At the end of the day you’ll enjoy delicious food made with fresh local ingredients by the people who own and farm the land. You can put your feet up and enjoy the comfortable rural accommodation at the rustic Whakapata Cottage, the refurbished Shearers’ Quarters and the architecturally designed Stony Bay Lodge, just metres from the sea.
Only 14 people a day are allowed on the one-way track. It’s a fun experience to do with friends and family. You don’t even carry your luggage – it’s all done for you!
