Wairarapa's Farmers' Market is held every Saturday at the historic Solway Showgrounds in Fleet Street from 9am to 12.45pm. The Primary Pinot Wine and Art Auction is a fund raiser for the Martinborough School and will be held at the school hall from 6pm. Entry is $10pp which includes a taste of Primary Pinot and canapes. Wine by the glass can be purchased during the evening. The auction of wine and children's label art begins at 6.45pm.
The evening will finish before the start of the rugby test!

Acclaimed Christchurch organist Barry Sinson, will play at St Matthew's Anglican Church, Church Street, Masterton at 7pm.
The first half of the programme includes silent films accompanied by theatre organ style music plus Gershwin, Rodgers and Porter and in the second part of the programme, an edited version of the original Phantom of the Opera with Lon Chaney and Mary Philbin.
Admission: adults $15, students $5. Door sales.

The Martinborough Country Market is held every Sunday at Jaq's Bar, New York Street from 10am until 2pm. There is a mix of fresh produce, local olive oil, pickles, jams and chutneys, local crafts, wooden toys etc. There is a cafe and bar attached where people can get coffee and snacks. In Summer you can sit outside looking over the vines and in Winter, you can be cosy inside by the fire. Spend a cold winter evening away at the WAI ART Winter Series of Talks on varied art topics by interesting speakers. The talks will be at Bambino Café, Carterton and start with some nibbles and refreshment, including a glass of Paulownia wine, at 7.30pm. The 65 members of the Central Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force will perform a concert for all ages at the Masterton Town Hall 7.00pm on Friday 6 August. Conducted by Squadron Leader Owen Clarke the concert will feature soprano Marla Rodriguez and the Auckland MC and actor Kevin Keys.
